Friday Five

1. I'm on Tumblr!  Check out my posts at: http://ixtumea1.tumblr.com/

2. Been attacking this on-going revision:

Also using Natural Reader to help me 'hear' my manuscript.  Using this app has helped me find some typos and awkward sentence structure that I wouldn't have found otherwise.

3. Went to Omar's Bird store to see Damon!  Here he is at week six.  Don't you think he's getting bigger?  And omg, he's so photogenic too!

4. There's some awesome books coming out!

My YA Books Central review:

http://www.yabookscentral.com/kidsfiction/19499-the-executioner-s-daughter

Teaser: Mesmerizing tale where the world of King Henry VIII meets an urban river legend. Readers will be caught up with not only the plight of Moss but court intrigues as well.

5.

YA Books Central review:

http://www.yabookscentral.com/yafiction/19510-we-were-never-here

Teaser: Heartbreaking and realistic portrayal of a girl's journey from finding out about her serious illness to trusting in her heart.

**A fun-romantic read:

YA Books Central review:

http://www.yabookscentral.com/yafiction/19226-not-okay-cupid

Teaser: Fast-past sweet romance that has a perfect plan of revenge turn on it's head. Fun banter exchanges and with an ending reminiscent of the Taylor Swift song YOU BELONG TO ME meets SIXTEEN CANDLES.

Here's another fun read:

This has a British Meg Cabot feel going for it.  This is the first book in a series of three where a wannabe actress finds the company of some 50s actresses in her small flat.

**Guilty pleasure:

Hope to grab some saltado de pollo at the local Peruvian restaurant.

This yummy dish has chicken, lots of grilled veggies, french fries, and rice.  It's really, really good!
